Who We Are And What We Do

PTFA stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. The PTFA supports the school to run events for the children to have fun, to raise money, or support other charitable causes. All parents and families are automatically members of the St Finian’s PTFA when their children join our school. Everyone can get involved, even if they have only a small amount of time available. There are also members of the PTFA with specific roles such as Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

"Our PTFA is about so much more than just fundraising; we also exist to provide closer links between home and school. It is an excellent way to bring staff, parents, carers and friends together in support of the school, working towards a common goal."

All meetings will be held at The Spotted Dog in Cold Ash, at 20:00. Everyone is welcome!

Aside from supporting the school from a logistical perspective, (e.g., providing refreshments or supervising stalls at events), we raise funds to allow the school to purchase experience-enriching extras for our children, such as IT equipment, music resources, software subscriptions, theatre visits and much more! In today’s economic climate, all schools have high financial pressures. Unfortunately, most schools are not able to provide the nice-to-have extras for the children. This is where the PTFA step in!
